UI/UX | prototyping and usability testing

Creative Connections is a user interface project for an app concept we developed. The app is designed to help artists connect with one another and collaborate on future projects. Its goal is to foster a more authentic and less stressful social media environment by shifting the focus away from likes and reach, instead emphasizing genuine connections with like-minded individuals.

Our process began with research and interviews with various artists. Based on these insights, we created personas, user scenarios, and user journeys. Once this foundational work was complete, we began sketching interface ideas and built our first analog paper prototype. Through multiple rounds of usability testing and iterations, we refined the design and eventually translated the functions into a clickable prototype using Figma. What you see below represents our final design for the app.

We placed significant emphasis on the sign-up process and the app’s chat and messaging features. The core concept revolves around mutual approval between artists, along with robust filter and search options to help users find collaborators with the desired skills and expertise.
