Erste Person Singular
2024
Erste Person Singular (English: First Person Singular) is a film project by Anna Maier, Claudia Wachter, Valentina Kaup, and me, developed as an experimental exploration of our research topic: “How Does Film Adaptation Work?” This 8-minute film is based on a short story by Japanese author Haruki Murakami.
As a literature enthusiast, I adapted the story’s pages into a screenplay and crafted voice-over texts to convey the protagonist's inner thoughts and emotions. While we collaborated on filming and post-production, my primary focus was on art direction and sound design.
Starring: Marco Pessl, Amelie Bund, Lukas Eigl, Arlind Hagjija, Melina Toth
