Unort
2025
"Unort" is a semester project designed under the overarching theme of "Space." We were a group of five people tasked with designing one of five magazines. The term "Space" was interpreted in various ways.
Our final product focused on places—public spaces—and explored them from various perspectives. Diary-like entries, photographs, illustrations, and creative layouts guide readers through different public spaces through the eyes of different characters, encouraging reflection. Where do you feel comfortable and why? What are are the places you rather avoid. All elements, including texts, photos, and illustrations, were conceived and produced by us.
The magazines were presented as part of our final exhibition. Visitors were not only able to browse through the magazines but also contribute to the exhibition themselves by placing stickers (black for places that give you an unpleasant feeling and yellow for places that make you feel good) on a map of Graz. Many visitors participated and at the end of the exhibiton we had a wonderful documentation in form of a heat map :)
